Where to start?! Hiro sent so much helpful information upon booking - ways to get to the villas, food options, etc. Everything was so thorough (and it was so helpful he speaks English!)! He even shared ways to communicate (WhatsApp, etc.) and always made himself available for any questions or concerns! Once we arrived, Hiro greeted us and gave us suggestions on where to visit and places with best views, indicating each on a map. (He even showed us pictures on his phone to show what he was talking about!) All I could think was how can he give so much attention to each visitor! I saw him treating all his guests with the same attention - with such kindness and offering to take our pictures with Mt. Fuji in the background, for example. Then the villas were huge! They sleep a lot of people! Guests can sleep upstairs on a traditional bed or on a futon in the tatami room. Everything was clean and comfy and there was so much space! AC worked great! It was fun to shop at the local grocery store (be sure to note last bus times!) and use the kitchen to cook dinner! The kitchen had a huge fridge/freezer, all the appliances, cooking tools & ingredients (salt, sugar, shoyu, oil for cooking, etc.). Our villa even had partial view of Mt. Fuji (or just walk down the walkway toward the parking!) and the night views were pretty spectacular as well... with the stars and even the lights on the side of the Mt. Fuji from where the hikers were staying in huts and trekking up the mountain (so cool!). Even better, you can even enjoy the night sky while using the wonderful (indoor/) outdoor onsen! The lake is also a quick walk from the villas for amazing photos, views or just a nice stroll! Of course the property has many adorable cats to greet you and enjoy while you are here as well! Hiro and his staff were AMAZING! Hiro goes above and beyond in order to ensure his guests have a perfect time! I cannot say enough about him and how much we LOVED our stay here! Thank you, Hiro!!

Really enjoyed my stay here, and the many furry & friendly cats that the hosts care for in the main office! The lake villa team were extremely welcoming right from the start, giving us a full run down of places to visit, to eat, and things to do all around the Fuji area. The host will also share some of these information on how to get to the location via various transport prior to your travel up there, and with communication over WhatsApp message, it was a breeze finding the location and checking in/settling down. The villa was absolutely beautiful and felt just like home! We were given a tour of the villa and everything was clean, neat, and in order - perfect if you're staying for any longer than a day. Although some of the amenities were slightly more well-loved (e.g., a loose sink tap, but it's still usable), it was still a comfortable stay! And the main carpet floor was heated! The view in the morning of Fuji from our villa was also stunning, and the stroll down to the lake takes less than 3-5 minutes. The indoor/outdoor onsen also overlooks mt fuji (only if you stand up in the onsen! if not there's a wooden fence for privacy reasons and to block the wind). Many Japanese locals seem to stay at the villa, so do expect them to regularly visit the onsen as part of their daily routine. The onsen seems to use fresh water/lake water - or rather, as the indoor and outdoor onsen is connected, there are sometimes insects/leaves floating in the water. It doesn't really ruin anything and instead adds to the whole experience. So the onsen is still definitely a must go, if you don't mind the natural ambience! I would say, as the house is relatively big, some areas of the house may feel cold. There are about 4 heaters, but my family wanted to conserve electricity and only turned on the 2 main ones in the main dining area. So do wear some long sleeves if you need, especially during the winter.

The hosts were present the minute we parked our rental car, and approached us to ask if we were here to check in, all with huge smiles on their faces. The property is so beautifully decorated and maintained with such a lovely floral landscape, from the entrance of the property to the doorstep of each villa, and everything was so neatly pruned. The car park has ample parking space, and it's from the car park that you can see Mount Fuji in all its glory. There are food trucks that come every morning to sell breakfast, and on some nights to sell dinner. The hosts went the extra mile to recommend food and activities around the area, and specially pointed out some kid-friendly activities when they saw that we have young children. The hoto restaurant (noodles) and the sushi restaurant (by conveyer belt) that the hosts recommended were THE VERY BEST. The hosts were also really sweet to allow my children to interact with their cats, which was a huge plus point for my animal-loving kids. The hosts also brought us to our villa and personally explained everything to us on both floors (how to separate our trash, how to use the kitchen appliances, how to make the beds and how to use the air-conditioner controls). The tap water is potable (coming fresh from the springs), there is a heated floor for cold nights, and the entire space was very cosy and spacious. Above all, the whole villa was absolutely clean! The shared onsen was such a wonderful experience, and there's a perfectly unblocked view of Mount Fuji from the onsen. We are so glad we got to stay here for three nights. We highly, highly recommend this villa!

We booked a two night stay in Lake Villa Kawaguchiko cottage. It was raining heavily when my family and I arrived so we were quite moody about it. However, upon checking into this cottage, we were all delighted by the warm welcome from the host. He provided the much needed services like transporting our luggages to the cottage, recommending the nearby food restaurants, the nearby amenities and evaluating the weather conditions. The cottage is well equipped and with heated flooring. My kids were also so fascinated by their super cute cats. On the second night when retuning to the cottage, we were surprised to find the host waiting for us, he informed us there would be drastic drop in temperature the next day so we can prepare to get ready for it. He also hinted that the sky would be super clear the next morning and advised to try to wake up early to catch Mt be Fuji. We heeded his advice and was greeted with a fantastic view of Mt Fuji the next day! My family wants to thank the host for the truly amazing experience and comfortable stay.

Huge thanks to owner (Hiro-san) who takes the extra mile of delivering a jacket that was left behind in the villa to our next hotel in Tokyo. Also thanks for providing 2 cottages side by side with connecting door for my big travelling group of 10 pax. The cottage has a homely feeling. Has a room with futon beds at ground level for elderly that who might not able to climb up the staircase to room in upper level. Has 3 beds in upper level and another room with futon beds in upper level. Water from the tap is safe to be consumed directly as the water is spring water from mountain. Backyard is good for having a BBQ. Menu can be pre-ordered, and fire will be set by villa staff. Dining table is big and can accommodate 8 adults, with the chairs with turning function. Has 2 toilets and 1 bathtub in ground level.
